The McLaren M838TE twin-turbo V8 is capable of massive horsepower for its size, but the original front mount heat exchangers limit how much heat can be removed from the charge-air system. Upgrading lowers intake air temperatures at higher boost levels and speeds recovery from inevitable heat soak.
The CSF units feature a 54mm 2-Row core, a huge upgrade over the factory 1-Row design, with CSF's Exclusive B-Tube Technology increasing heat transfer by approximately 15% over regular oval welded tubes. Super-efficient multi-louvered fins maximize airflow, and pre-plugged 1/8th NPT ports accept temperature sensors for accurate coolant readings.
TIG-welded 100% all-aluminum construction is stronger than the factory crimp-and-braze method, and removable metal rock guards replace the OE plastic pieces for added protection from road debris. The heat exchangers mount in the factory pods with no modifications or cutting, reusing the OE foam strips for a plug-and-play installation.
